Food craving – my hits and misses with fasting

  • I tried fasting twice a week last December 2025.Each day between 16-21hrs, no food, no water.
  • In continuation, we are currently at the 17th day of Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims.
  • I noticed there were some changes to my body in terms of food cravings.
  • I don’t crave that much of junk food like chips and fizzy drinks anymore.
  • Even if I do eat them, I can’t devour them like before. Either I’ll have them in a few sittings (compared to one sitting before) or I will share with others.
Toasted bread with butter, choc spread, kaya spread, banana and teh tarik for supper last night.
  • There were days that all I wanted to eat is just rice, plain soup, protein (fish/chicken/meat/tofu) and sambal. Nothing fancy.
  • Can’t afford to do this – my wife and kids will go mad.😅
  • Any changes to my weight? I’m glad I asked that question myself.
  • Checked today at my local gym – I reduced 5kg these past 2 months. That explains why my pants feels loose nowadays. I was worried that the summer sun has somehow expanded them.
  • Might need to check my wardrobe, in case some clothes gets a bit too loose for me as well.

Until then, stay hungry, stay consistent.
